LAUNCHING WOW.FM BACK ON-AIR?

Hi everyone,

Since shutting down WOW.FM a few days back because of a lack of donations, we have been talking with many people within our industry to find out if there was any way to salvage and put WOW.FM back on the air in 2011. After talking with folks in this business about this, we have come up with a plan, "a last ditch effort", to see if they're any listeners or businesses like yourself that wish to come on board with us and help move WOW.FM forward again.

Here's what we've come up with:

(1) We will still keep a mix of Billboard and CCM Christian hits as our format because this reaches out to both Christian and a non-Christian audience and serves as an outreach radio station for the lost.

We had several businesses that were owned or run by Christians who told us that they piped WOW.FM into their business during the day as a way to "reach out" to their employees.

We will change the format slightly according to our latest research, to play more of the oldies and pop music of both Billboard and CCM's Hits that charted in the Top 30 from the 60, 70's and 80's to draw more listeners both female and male that are 25-54 years in age on average.

Today's listener (both young and older) enjoys the oldies format and it's being proven with Arbitron Ratings throughout the US especially in major markets such as Los Angeles. WOW.FM's music format is unique and one of a kind that draws a diverse listener ship that's positive and fun!

We will come up with advertising packages that someone can purchase that will include banners and commercial spots that will air on WOW.FM...which brings me to my last point:

(2) If you would like to see WOW.FM launch back on the air, we have come up with a "One Time" package that you, your business, or maybe you know a person who has a business or ministry and you wish to help them out financially with some advertising, which will in turn, help put WOW.FM back on the air for 2011.

We need at least 7 people/businesses/ministries to give a suggested donation of $1000 each and in return we will give each person/business/ministry their own banner on the WOW.FM website for the entire 2011 year, plus (50) :60 second commercial spots to run anytime during the 2011 year.

If we can come up with even $3500 by the end of this month, we'll be able to launch WOW.FM back on the air and run the station for at least 6 months.

If you're an individual and would still like to give to WOW.FM, even small amounts could add up fast and of coarse we're appreciative of any amount that you give.

Remember that we're still a Non-Profit 501(C)(3) Tax-Exempt Corporation which means you can still receive a receipt for tax purposes. We know that it's hard earned money so thank you!!

(3) If you're interested in helping out, you would need to send us a check ASAP and email us to let us know of your interest. Please don't try to give using the donation buttons on the website. They have been disconnected at this point.

The deadline for this will be January 31st, so if you're interested, please contact us soon.

(Final Thought) I hope you don't mind us being direct here, but after 3 years of passionate hard work and having built a global audience in which many are not Christian, as well as having one of the best major market 'sounding' radio stations on the Internet today, we don't want to miss out on a last minute opportunity.

Not to mention that WOW.FM is heard on any Internet connection worldwide, all mobile phone devises without having to download or use an App, listened to in vehicles that are equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities (mainly overseas) and also heard on i-Tunes, all in CD quality...we would just hate to walk away from this.

Of coarse, maybe God has other plans so we'll see what happens here. Please pray about this and get back with me if you're interested.

Maybe we should render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things which are Gods. Marriage between a man and a woman is God's proclamation. God doesn't recognize marriage outside of what He had decreed, just as Caesar doesn't recognize God. The carnal mind cannot discern spiritual things.

If Caesar decides to have same-sex marriages, we may grieve but have no say in the matter. Our votes do not count when you have people in power who say that the proposition you voted for was illegal to begin with.

They have already decided that homosexuality is something people are born to be and therefore it is normal. If you feel something strongly with great conviction, it's normal! Even if the biological plumbing doesn't fit.

These same minds believe that we are a cosmic accident; from the Big Bang to many smaller bangs. Our existence is purely accidental and there is no Designer.

I predict that same-sex marriages will become commonplace in the world's civilizations because man has fallen so far from God that morality will become more and more perverse until morality no longer exists for the majority of humanity.

It's in the prophecies. Perhaps, we should, rather than trying to fight what is already going to happen (politically), we should fight to rise above the darkness ourselves and stay close to the Lord.

The church is filled with carnality. Why should anyone listen to the Body of Christ if the Body is carnal? Most secular people believe that they are at least as moral as the Christian they know.

Jesus and the apostles, including Paul did not fight directly against secular perversion, but proclaimed the kingdom of God in contrast. They did not try to overthrow the idol worshipping culture with it's temple prostitutes. They extended God's pardon of salvation through Jesus Christ to all who would accept it.

Behold Noah and his family, how they escaped while the rest of the world was washed away. Judgement is in the hands of the Almighty! Those who scoff at God will find themselves at the wrong end of His judgment. It's so sad. It's heartbreaking that mankind has chosen (once again) this path leading to his own destruction.

We really need to secure our borders and the majority of Americans (56%) are in agreement, except for President Obama! Here's the article:

Dear Senator Frist:

There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens.

#1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want US citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a US citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, instate tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.

#2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

#3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

#4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens constitute less than 5% of the work force. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful US residents.

#5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

#6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The US accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

#7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote." Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get the Hispanic vote is a dead end.

#8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the US. During World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the US from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the US to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the US stole California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their school children.

#9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America , then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

#10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

#11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price? For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans. These politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be high. There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and their supporters. There will be more. You, as a politician, have a choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country and demanded the rights afforded to US citizens or to offend those of us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do you have the courage to do what is right for America ? Or, will you bow to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain here? There will be a reckoning.

It will come in November of this year, again in 2012 and yet again in 2014. We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

Remembering Dana Key from an Old Friend!

My name is Max Richardson.

I wrote the words to the DeGarmo and Key songs Emanuel and Alleyways of Strife when Dana and Eddie and I were just starting the Christian band idea in 1972-73. I was the original drummer, and played on a few of the cuts on This Time Through, the first album. I have been living in Israel for the past 19 years and have stayed in touch with Dana through the years. I was privileged to be in touch with him in Memphis a few days before he died.

When we began this pursuit, in the social climate of the early 1970's, there were many questions and controversies about the "spiritual world" as we called it. The seemingly radical late '60's shaped our responses. Hendrix was the only real guitar player out there for Dana, and you can hear it in his playing. He wanted to hear the soul of the guitar. He was a great guitar player because of it. Interestingly, music became the voice of social change in those days. Dana wanted to be a part of that change for the better.

Dana was first a volunteer for Campus Crusade for Christ and later was employed part time while in seminary. Finally, he became full time. Chan Prosser was his mentor and spiritual guide. Dana got Eddie and I involved as volunteer councilors. We had some of our first real exposure at Campus Crusade for Christ conventions in Gatlinburg , Tn and Orlando, Florida. It was a music critic from Campus Life magazine who first took an interest. Pat Boone took the first chance on us with the Lamb and Lion label. I could go on and on about who Dana was. His walk left a very wide wake.

I am having real trouble losing Dana. Some of my dreams died with him. I have cried more than I would have expected. I know the burning flame in the heart of Dana. We have lost a great American pioneer, musician, a father, a brother, a loving husband, a son, minister, mentor and a dear, dear friend. More than anything, I think, the world has lost some of its ability to dream of a better world and with God's help, the strength of character to pursue the vision.

If I may, I would like to ask you if you could read the following words to a song I wrote with Dana in mind many years ago. He never got to hear it. I hope he hears it now. For all who loved him.

Christian rocker Dana Key dead at 56

All of us WOW.FM are very saddened by the news of Dana Key's passing at the age of 56 because of a blood clot. Our prayers are with his family and fellow band members, such as Ed DeGarmo. A memorial service is scheduled for June 10th.

The Headless Drummer!

With two little ones in the house that we're raising, it was time to sell my wood Ayotte kit (I'm depressed!) and buy these Roland Electronic Drums because space is tight! My drum room is now one of my girls bedrooms (think I should charge my three year old rent ?). I usually don't enjoy playing electronic drums but I guess it's the next best thing when space is an issue. I wanted to warm up on the kit and try out the new Flip Video HD Camera to see what kind of sound and picture it would produce on it's own. For such a little piece of gear, I was impressed!

Metal Music Icon Dead At 67

Ronnie James Dio, whose soaring vocals, poetic lyrics and mythic tales of a never-ending struggle between good and evil broke new ground in heavy metal, died Sunday, according to a statement from his wife and manager. He was 67.

Dio revealed last summer that he was suffering from stomach cancer shortly after wrapping up a tour in Atlantic City, N.J., with the latest incarnation of Black Sabbath, under the name Heaven And Hell.

"Today my heart is broken," Wendy Dio wrote on the singer's site, adding he died at 7:45 a.m. "Many, many friends and family were able to say their private goodbyes before he peacefully passed away."

Where did Ronnie end up? We hope in the loving arms of Jesus Christ and we pray that he made the right decision toward the end of his life of accepting Jesus Christ into his heart. Our prayers are with his family during this time.

Should A Christian Use Grace Or Fire?

Should a Christian share his faith with grace or fire?

When I was in Law Enforcement and had to deal with people from all walks of life, mostly folks who were at their very worse, a place in life that had brought them down to the lowest part of human existence, some even taking their own life because they couldn't deal with living. For others they committed hennas crimes such as murder, rape, and other offenses that involved innocent people who became victims and their lives changing forever, and not for the good.

So here I am responding to a call while on patrol where "this" person already filled with rage, anger, sadness, suicidal tendencies, etc. had already made up their mind that nobody will tell them what to do, say, or where to go, and God forbid you go into their house to try to make since of what just happened. This is one reason why Cops are killed in these situations.

Even with all this intense pressure and fear of being hurt or killed, I enter into this danger zone to confront someone who doesn't care about life, Jesus Christ, especially me, the guy with the badge, or even their best friend at that moment, and still, I always take the soft hand approach initially which is to approach this person with calmness, gentle voice commands, a smile, and a genuine concern that the person I'm "confronting" will know that I'm there to help and not to destroy his/her already ruined life.

From the soft hand approach, an officer will move up the ‘sliding scale of aggression’ to bring resolve which can turn into a full blown fight to even using deadly force if that officers life is in jeopardy of losing his own life from the hand of an offender who might go from angry words to brandishing a knife or gun. I have to say that many times even using the soft hand approach to diffuse a situation, a lot of times it ended up into a scuffle because of the aggression of that person.

So my personal belief is to always try using the sliding scale to get to a person's heart with the Gospel of Christ. If you're kind and loving and genuine in the beginning, this might be all you need to grab their attention and get something accomplished.

On the other hand, there are many who would rather fight (argue) with you and try to destroy you without even blinking an eye, so you'll have to either be willing to follow through (restraint and patience) with some non physical confrontation, always with their best interest at hand, which would be the Cross of Christ, Repentance, and Salvation, or just do as Jesus told his disciples which was to shake the dust of your sandals and move on to the next city.

CCM Great Passes Away Today

Please keep the family and friends of CCM Artist, Tom Howard in your thoughts and prayers. Tom had a heart attack today while hiking at Edwin Warner Park in Nashville and passed away. He's been a good friend of many in the music and Christian circles since the '70s and is already missed terribly!

Tom Howard was an American pianist, musical arranger, orchestral conductor, and an Christian artist. Howard helped numerous bands and artists, especially within the Christian Music Industry (CCM). You can view Tom's Discography here:

Is The Cross Bloody Or Sugarcoated?

People just don't want to hear the Gospel today. That is, that men are sinful and wicked by nature and deserve judgement. But for what Christ did on the cross, and man's willingness to humble himself and ask forgiveness and go to that cross, the penalty of sin is death.

Most people today even without a relationship with Jesus Christ say they love God and his creation but are missing the mark. Even Christians are for the most part, compassionate with huge hearts, but for every person who desires Eternal Life with Christ, the process starts at the Cross. Remember the cross is bloody not sugar coated, and the Gospel is not entertainment.

Life in Jesus is a wonderful road to walk, full of challenges, but it's God's strength through his Holy Spirit that brings inner peace and a heart full of joy and thankfulness that can never be traded for anything.

I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made- I'm a disciple of his. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power.

My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy, pander at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must keep going until he comes, give until I drop, preach all I know, and work until he stops me. And, when he comes for his own, he will have no problem recognizing me. My banner will be clear.

Pulling The "GOD" Plug On Artists And Bands

Should WOW.FM play music only from artists who's lifestyles are lined up with God?

If WOW.FM were to play only music from artists, both secular and Christian who's lifestyles only glorified God, then the music list would be a very short one. I know this is a touchy matter but personally I spent so many years in Christian radio, and seeing the lifestyles of many Christians really burned me out. I'm not saying that I'm any better than most people, because I'm not. Some days I feel like the Apostle Paul when he said that he was the Chief of Sinners! Hey that would make a great band name, any takers?

My friend who played with a huge CCM band for years got so burned out that to this date, doesn't see any difference between CCM and Billboard music, because it really is about money and screwed up lifestyles for so many artists that it's scary. He told me that he would see other Christian artists and band members smoking Marijuana right before going on stage to perform and minister Christ! That's why he said that only Worship music makes a difference in his life anymore, except even CCM has now made Worship music into it's own money maker format.

Regarding the Johnny Cash Booking photo: I loved Johnny Cash! I was very sad when he passed away because his music and even his faith later on had a big impact on me when I was very young. This booking photo from El Paso means a lot to me as well. My Dad was the arresting Agent for US Customs when Johnny was picked up at the El Paso airport with drugs stuffed up the neck his guitar. This arrest actually helped Johnny to start on the right track with his relationship with Christ. He sure had a tuff life like so many of us out here. Lord we need your strength, grace, and forgiveness!

Man, maybe we should just pull the plug on all artists both Christian and secular and go back to the good old days? (whatever that is!). We really do need the Cross!

Are You A Disgruntled Christian?

We all get worn out, bitter, torn, even doubt life, including our relationship with God. Even Jesus at the cross, for a moment said, Father, Father, why have you forsaken me? God never left his son, but allowed his own son to feel what total separation from his Father would be like, and even for Jesus, it was worse than the physical pain he felt with nails driven in his hands and his own weight pulling down on those nails, tearing his flesh. So remember "Disgruntled Christian" who walks through this life in doubt, even to the point of having a hardened heart. The only reason any of us can "feel" warm and fuzzy all over and at peace right now is because the Holy Spirit covers this earth with God's presence. Take that away and you'll feel just like Jesus did at the cross. Cold and barren and without hope. Let Jesus Christ wrap is loving arms around you today, so that you can know how deep and wide the love of God is through his son.

"Kansas" Co-founder In Rehab Hospital

Kansas co-founder Kerry Livgren is now at a rehab hospital to continue his recovery from a stroke. The band's web site reported Tuesday that Kerry Livgren was moved to a regional rehab hospital. The hospital specializes in the type of stroke Kerry's suffered and has a good recovery rate with their type of intense therapy. The Topeka-native suffered a stroke September 1st. According to the band's site, Livgren received two stints in his arteries. After leaving the famous 70s progressive rock band, Livgren went on to a Christian music career. The 59-year old continued to record at his studio south east of Topeka. Kerry's family continues to ask for prayers for Kerry's recovery and thanks everyone for all their support. We Remember, We Pray.

After one of those late night working sessions, I had gone to bed at about 4:00 AM, only to be woken up by my wife who was rushing off to work at about 7:30 AM on September 11th, 2001. As she was going off to teach her 3rd grade class, she told me that she was watching the news this morning and there was a problem in New York with a plane that had crashed into some buildings. Then she left out the door quickly! I laid there in bed trying to get my brain to kick start itself, thinking what's this plane crash thing all about. I dragged myself to the television and turned on FOX News, where I sat there for the "next week", glued with my eyes fixed, my heart heavy, and my body in shock and misbelief! It was a time in all of our lives that we will never forget the impact that 9-11 had on the nation, our families, and the entire World! Please take the time today to remember this tragic event, and pray especially for the families who lost loved ones on this fateful day.

If you enjoy Broadway, then you'll love this improv of more than 200 dancers that were performing their version of "Do Re Mi", in the Central Station of Antwerp. With just two rehearsals they created this amazing stunt! The video is only four minutes in length and was filmed on the 23rd of March, 2009, at 8:00 AM, durning busy transit. What Every White Person Should Hear!

Below, is a letter that I wrote to Pastor Manning right after watching him sharing his heart about white (anglo) people. I wanted to share his video and my letter with you:

Pastor Manning, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your video, "what every white person should hear". Personally as a believer, there is no color in Christ, but we do live in a society that has many prejudices. I'm a former Law Enforcement officer who had to deal with the race card from every aspect. Some black people blamed the white race for their incarceration and their failures in life. Likewise, other white individuals have an ego and feel like they deserve better than most people. Even some white people would call their own race, white trash! Of coarse I'm speaking in generalities with society, not everyone thinks or believes this way.

For me, my heart pours out to all races knowing that God created all of us, and their is a hope for everyone! Even our Heavenly Father does not side with any one person or race, he loves us all equally. He is not a respecter of persons. I just wish people, especially individuals who are racist, would see things in God's light.

Then they could see creation through the "eyes" of a loving savior. Remember that we all bleed, RED! And Jesus, God's only Son, died for everyone!

I love you Pastor Manning even though we've never met. Thank you for your beautiful heart and courage. My prayers are with you my "brother"!

Where Are The Christian Retro Bands?

I had the privilege of corresponding with Oden Fong, former band member of the 70's Christian band, Mustard Seed Faith. Our main topic of conversation was; Is it possible to bring back an excitement for Christian bands and artists of the 70's and 80's, like we see with so many Billboard artists and bands of that same era?

Here's my response to Oden:

...Oden, I see your point with young bands and soloist performing today and having the audience in Orange County. It's always been that way when it comes to promotion, even when we were younger. Everybody saw their time in the limelight. However because of the baby boomers and our ages, even the Rolling Stones and other mega bands are touring with packed out venues. Even less known bands and artists of the 70's and 80's are seeing some financial fruits as well because of a fan's desire to go to their concerts and buy their music.

The problem I see with the Christian bands of the 70's and 80's, is there is no platform for Christian artists to make a comeback. One of the reasons I believe is back in the late 80's, a lot of Christian record labels sold out to secular labels and they dropped the Christian music from their catalogs and stopped production of CD manufacturing, except for a hand full of the CCM artists of the day like Amy Grant, etc.. A lot of the Christian hits that were on radio and charted in the 70's and 80's basically disappeared from the maps, unlike Billboard hits that were archived and pressed to CD. A lot of these hits have not been heard in over 20 years or longer until now.

This is sad because there is so much Christian music out there like your albums and others that carry a lot of weight but can't be found, unless it's on vinyl somewhere. That's why I said earlier that I see a surge with 70's and 80's Christian music. I think people are wanting to know what happened to all that great music. Where can I find it they ask? There are several radio stations like ours (www.wow.fm) that are bringing back these hard to find hits and playing them along with today's top charted music.

Christian artists like the Sweet Comfort Band, Rick Cua, Servant, Rez Band, have taken the original masters and pressed them to CD and are selling them on their own, or by private labels. The original Christian rock band, Jerusalem is still performing after all these years, to even big crowds and are still selling a lot of music by means of CD sales, music downloads, and at their concerts.

Like I said, it needs to start with a venue like Calvary Chapel. Perform a string of concerts in one location first and then branch off. Record a DVD and CD and promote it through a website, and put it out on YouTube and other Internet portals. When you record a studio project, send out your CD to radio stations and allow some of the tunes to be downloaded for free from your websites. Then start with weekend tours throughout California and move on from there.

You see, trying to compete with today's CCM or Billboard artists and bands is silly. No one can do this. But create an excitement for the older crowd to have something that they can call their own is something that's missing with the Christian audience. Secular bands are doing it all the time with big turnouts.

So if "Love Song" grabbed 2,500 people for a first concert a couple of weeks ago with only local promotion from Church, fliers, and some local radio spots, then that speaks volumes to me! Here's the key. If they keep "building" on their band and stay visible, then in time, more people around the country will catch on to them and want to be apart of their ministry.

"As we see more Christian radio stations promote the Christian retro music of the 70's and 80's, you'll have more people interested and looking for these bands. Like I said, find one venue at first and start to build on it".

Call me crazy, but I know what I see coming and there is a movement and interest in Christian bands from the 70's and 80's, and it pretty much started with Calvary Chapel and Maranatha. With this, it's not a matter of packing out shows with people. Instead, it's being able to use what God gave you many years ago and still apply it to peoples lives today. Even if you had 500 people coming out to your shows, that's 500 people that you can touch with the Gospel of Christ.

It's that one person who still sees your ministry and gifts as an important part of their life. It's awesome!

The Need For Speed

On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris early in the morning . The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine , through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running red lights, nearly hitting pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up one-way streets. Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground.

Memorial Day And The Real American Idol!

May 25th is Memorial Day, a day in which Americans from all races, all religions, all cultures come together as a nation united to honor those brave men and women who have served in the military. I am a veteran who served in the United States Navy and served a tour of duty in Vietnam, a war in which politicians lied, anti-war protesters rioted and most unfortunate, Americans that turned their backs on those who returned. Over 5,800 men and women never returned home. They never returned home to their families. They never returned home to enjoy the exact freedoms that they fought for. In their honor, a large black granite wall exists with theirs names inscribed. Names of hundreds who were held as Prisoners of War,or Missing in Action. Names of those who this Country forgot. Names of those who this Country failed.

The American serviceman goes where he or she is told. They live in primitive conditions, receive little or no sleep, and have to react to the most serious of conditions at a moments notice, if even that long. The American serviceman fights to defend the freedoms that we have the privilege of living in. They sacrifice of themselves in order to keep us free and safe. Like members of the militarises from centuries ago, many of these men and women will once again not return home. They will give the ultimate sacrifice because they were keeping America free and their deaths should not, and will not be forgotten. Take a moment and pray for them. Take a moment away from your free time and say a prayer for them as they cope with the loneliness, fear, fatigue, the violence of war, and being away from their loved one. Pray for their families to be comforted as they receive the news of yet another hero has died. Pray for America and its leaders to take the stand to defend this great and mighty Country. Pray that America never again forgets, for these are the true "American Idols."

It amazes us how Obama unlike any other President that we know of has taken the limelight of all the media outlets, including the tabloids. It seems that some media groups are more concerned about how the drapes are placed at the White House, or how tight Obama's tight glowing abs are while vacationing shirtless on Hawaii's beaches.

Don't you think the media should focus on the real issues at hand? We've even heard networks call President Obama the chosen one, even the Messiah! All we can say is; Reality Check Please!
